Holtkamps Breton Apple Pie
This apple pie is based on a recipe by Cees Holtkamp. It features a pastry base made from shortcrust pastry, which bakes to a crisp finish thanks to the layer of almond paste on top. Cubes of apple are poured over with a vanilla sauce. In the oven, the pie bakes to a golden brown.
