Greek Chortopita
Chortopita is an authentic Greek pie. The pie is filled with fresh herbs and spices, finely chopped al dente vegetables, feta, rice, and raisins. The filo pastry is crispy, and on top, I sprinkle a little za'atar, a fine herb blend with sesame seeds and sumac. Served alongside is a portion of briam, which is a type of Greek ratatouille.
Greek Chortopita
Leek, tomatoes, red onion, aubergine, spinach, white onion, courgette, yellow bell pepper, red bell pepper, garlic, potato, fresh basil, oregano, parsley, thyme, chickpeas, chili powder, cinnamon, mint, nutmeg, oregano, allspice, za'atar (sesame, oregano, mint, sumac, turmeric, salt), raisins, sunflower seeds, feta made from pasteurised sheep and goat milk, Carnaroli rice, brown rice, filo pastry (made from wheat flour), white wine, organic vegetable stock, extra virgin olive oil, pepper and salt, sunflower oil.
Allergens: alcohol, gluten, lactose, sesamzaad, sulfiet.
Microwave
Heat the chortopita and the vegetables uncovered for 3-4 minutes (1 person) to 5-6 minutes (2 or more persons). Note: the filo pastry will not remain crispy in the microwave.
Oven — 200°C, 20-30 minMarleen's choice
Preheat the chortopita and the vegetables uncovered for 20 minutes (1 person) to 25-30 minutes (2 or more persons). Disposable containers cannot be used in the oven; transfer to an oven dish.
