Surinamese pom
Yes indeed, here is this classic dish from Suriname again! I prepare this oven dish with pomtayer, a root vegetable that closely resembles potato. We flavour it with orange juice, black pepper, piccalilly, and celery leaves. The chicken thighs (better living 2 stars) are simmered with Madame Jeanette, galangal, ketjap, and lemon juice. Then we layer the dish and pop it in the oven. On the side, I serve masala curry braised yardlong beans and potato. The spicy pickled vegetables of red onion, cucumber, and carrot complete the feast!
Chicken thigh fillet (better living 2 stars), pomtayer, yardlong beans, cucumber, red onion, carrot, white onion, tomato, garlic, leek, celery, celeriac, potato, lemon, fresh celery leaves, bay leaf, Madame Jeanette pepper, rosemary, thyme, Chinese 5 spices (star anise, fennel seeds, Szechuan pepper, cinnamon, cloves), nutmeg, curry massala (contains coriander seeds, turmeric, and mustard seeds), cumin seeds, cloves, galangal, nutmeg, allspice, gluten-free ketjap manis, chicken stock, piccalilly (contains wheat flour, mustard), sambal badjak, tomato purée, orange juice, sugar, organic vegetable stock, homemade chicken stock (contains celery), vinegar, pepper and salt, sunflower oil.

Microwave
Heat the pom and the yardlong beans with potato loosely covered for 3-4 minutes (1 person) to 5-8 minutes (2 or more persons). Serve with the pickled vegetables (cold).

Preheat the pom and the yardlong beans with potato covered with aluminium foil or an oven-safe dish for 20 minutes (1 person) to 25-30 minutes (2 or more persons). Serve with the pickled vegetables (cold). Disposable containers cannot go in the oven, transfer to an oven dish.
