Chicken Cordon Bleu
This chicken fillet (better life 2 stars) is filled with ham from Beemsterlant's pig and Dutch (Stolkse) mature cheese. We coat the chicken in breadcrumbs and cook the cordon bleu in the oven, which is healthier than frying in a pan and just as delicious! Served with a rich gravy and the 'bonne femme' garnish: sautéed potatoes, mushrooms, and bacon bits with steamed green beans, carrots, and peas.
Chicken Cordon Bleu
Chicken cordon bleu (chicken fillet [better life 2 stars], breadcrumbs, Stolkse mature cheese, back ham from Beemsterlant's pig), potato, green beans, peas, carrot, mushrooms, white onion, bacon cubes, cream, homemade chicken stock (contains celery), reduced white wine, potato starch, sunflower oil, black pepper, salt.
Allergens: alcohol, gluten, koemelk, lactose, selderij, sulfiet.
Microwave
Remove the gravy container from the tray and heat the gravy with the lid loosely on for 10-30 seconds. Warm the bonne femme and the chicken cordon bleu loosely covered for 3-4 minutes (1 person) to 6-8 minutes (2 or more persons). The cordon bleu will not be crispy in the microwave. Note: there is a wooden stick in the chicken!
Oven — 200°C, 15-30 minMarleen's choice
Remove the gravy container from the tray and heat briefly in a saucepan. Warm the bonne femme and the chicken cordon bleu covered with an ovenproof plate or aluminium foil for 15-20 minutes (1 person) to 25-30 minutes (2 or more persons). Uncover the cordon bleu for the last 5 minutes for a crispy crust. Disposable containers cannot go in the oven, transfer to an oven dish. Note: there is a wooden stick in the chicken!
