Ajam kecap pedis
Pedis means 'spicy' and this buttery soft Indonesian chicken (better life 2 stars) is indeed deliciously fiery! But not too hot, so if you're a true 'die hard', you might want to add some extra sambal :) The sajoer lodeh is also authentically Indonesian, prepared with various types of vegetables in a mildly spiced coconut sauce. Perfect with nasi guning (yellow rice) and atjar ketimoen (sweet and sour cucumber). Selamat makan!

Chicken thigh fillet (better life 2 stars), carrot, green beans, pointed cabbage, cauliflower, white onion, garlic, red chilli, lime juice, fresh lemongrass (sereh), bay leaf, lime leaf and ginger, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, turmeric, galangal, trassi (shrimp paste), candlenut, basmati rice, brown rice, gluten-free ketjap manis, sambal badjak, coconut milk, santen (coconut cream), organic vegetable stock, pepper and salt, sunflower oil.
Allergens: noten, schaaldieren, soja, sulfiet.
Microwave
Heat the chicken with yellow rice and the sajoer lodeh (vegetables) loosely covered for 3-4 minutes (1 person) to 5-8 minutes (2 or more persons).

Preheat the chicken with yellow rice and the sajoer lodeh (vegetables) covered with aluminium foil or an oven-safe dish for 15-20 minutes (1 person) to 25-30 minutes (2 or more persons).
