Wines for the Christmas menu

A lavish Christmas menu (for many) also deserves a good glass of wine. To make it easy for you, I have collaborated with the team from Grapedistrict to find suitable wines. After a wine tasting with my team of chefs (not a punishment!), we have come to the following selection:

For the starter: Bodegas Encima Ciguena .

We chose this fresh white wine from a small wine region (Bierzo) in the northwest of Spain. I had never heard of Godello, the grape variety, and I am just as enthusiastic about it as Harold Hamersma (9-).

For the main course: Weingut Reibold.

We all agreed on this immediately. What a lovely (organic) wine! Not too heavy yet full of flavour. It’s no surprise that this wine also received a 9- from Harold Hamersma.
