Easy-to-make trifle with red fruit
Simple trifle with red fruit
Enjoy the last of the summer fruit with this delicious dessert. Perfect to make over the weekend, not too complicated, and with a set of beautiful glasses, you can create a stunning dessert on the table :-)
Serves 4
Ingredients: 150 grams of fresh sweet strawberries, often still available during this period 200 grams of summer fruit, such as blackberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, or a mix 200 grams of fresh whipped cream 200 grams of full-fat (Greek) yoghurt 2 sachets of vanilla sugar or 2 level tablespoons of fine sugar 4-8 tasty biscuits, such as amaretti, butter biscuits, or speculoos 4 beautiful large glasses Optionally: a sprig of mint and icing sugar
Preparation: Crumble the biscuits. Slice the strawberries. Whip the cream with the (vanilla) sugar until soft peaks form and fold in the yoghurt. Now you're ready to fill the glasses with different layers of biscuits, yoghurt cream, and fruit. Below is a suggestion on how to approach this, but another order is just as tasty!
Fill the glasses with ⅓ of the crumbled biscuits and spoon half of the yoghurt cream on top. Add another ⅓ of the biscuits and distribute the strawberries on top. Then spoon the other half of the cream into the glasses. On top of that goes the last part of the crumbled biscuits, and on this, you place the blackberries, raspberries, blackcurrants, or the mix of them. If you want to finish it off elegantly, place a few mint leaves among the fruit and sprinkle it with a little icing sugar.
Enjoy your meal!
