My Favourite Meatless Shawarma
This shawarma is a favourite in the kitchen: the delivery drivers argue over the last piece of seitan shawarma. With the fresh wholemeal pita bread, garlic sauce, and fresh salad, everyone can make a perfect and healthy sandwich. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do here :-). 100% plant-based (vegan).
My Favourite Meatless Shawarma
Organic seitan (wheat gluten, sunflower oil, ginger, coriander seeds, turmeric, nutmeg, onion powder, paprika powder, sugar, salt), white onion, mushrooms, carrot, iceberg lettuce, radish, fennel, cucumber, red bell pepper, spring onion, garlic, fresh parsley, chili powder, ginger, cinnamon, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, cloves, turmeric, paprika powder, soy milk, pita bread (wheat, salt, sugar, yeast), Dijon mustard, xanthan gum, white wine vinegar, pepper and salt, sunflower oil.
Allergens: gluten, mosterd, selderij, soja, sulfiet.
Microwave
Remove the container from the tray and heat the shawarma loosely covered for 2-3 minutes (1 person) to 4-6 minutes (2 or more persons). In the last minute, place the pita breads uncovered alongside. Serve with the salad and garlic sauce (cold).
Oven — 200°C, 10-25 minMarleen's choice
Remove the container from the tray and heat the shawarma covered with an oven-safe plate or aluminium foil for 10-15 minutes (1 person) to 20-25 minutes (2 or more persons). In the last 5 minutes, place the pita breads uncovered alongside. Serve with the salad and garlic sauce (cold). Plastic containers cannot be used in the oven.
